Finding Aids

Below is a list of finding aids, or collection guides, to a number of our manuscript collections. They are designed to give you an idea where in a collection it might be best to begin your research; not every item is listed. Additionally, this is only a portion of our holdings; we continue to make finding aids available as time allows. Please email or call us (860.695.6297) for help locating material.

The title of each collection serves as a link to our ArchivesSpace platform. Links to printable and searchable PDFs are in parentheses.

Hartford Town and City Clerk Archives

The Hartford Town and City Clerk Archives comprise the History Center's largest collection. The material ranges from the early 1600s to approximately 2010. Due to the size and scope of the collection, the finding aid has been broken down into smaller units.

Note: Some of the PDFs are over 100 pages. Please check the page count before printing.
